Industrial hemp (non hallucinogenic marijuana) is
an environmentally-friendly cash crop which can be used in a number of food and
industrial processes:
- hemp paper reduces the pressure on
forest
- hemp clothes are an alternative to cotton,
which is typically grown with heavy pesticide use.
- hemp grows well in sandy soils, typically used
for tobacco.
