The Ontario Environment Business Directory  
The OEBD is a searchable online directory of the environment industry in Ontario.  The director is hosted by The Canadian Environment Industry Association (CEIA), the Green Industry office of the Ministry of the Environment, and others. 

Note: this is a directory of the "environment industry" sector.  It does not include many of the major companies operating in Ontario.

Jantzi Social Index

Social Investment Organization (SIO) 
SIO is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of a socially and environmentally sustainable society through socially responsible investment (SRI) and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Taskforce on the Churches and Corporate Responsibility (TCCR)
The Taskforce on the Churches and Corporate Responsibility (TCCR) is an ecumenical coalition of the major churches in Canada. The Taskforce assists member organizations in promoting and implementing policies adopted by them on the social and environmental responsibility of Canadian-based corporations and 
financial institutions. 

Ethicscan
Ethicscan maintains corporate profiles on hundreds of Canadian companies.  The profiles can be ordered for $50 each. Check their Research page for details. 

Centre for Social Justice
The Centre for Social Justice produces reports on Canadian corporate activity and a newsletter, Greedwatch.

Corporate Watch
Corporate Watch is a U.S. based organization that monitors companies and runs the Greenwash Awards.

3M and the Environment
Site includes Progress Report, fact sheets and news, and information on pollution prevention.

AT&T and Environment Health and Safety
Site contains Annual EHS Report, policy statements, and information on environmental management system and industrial ecology.

Body Shop Canada
Site contains information on Body Shop’s core values, community activities, community trade program and actions (global warming, endangered species, etc.).

British Petroleum - Health, Safety and Environment
The site posts Health Safety and Environment Facts and BP’s commitment to environmental issues.

ComEd
1996 Annual Environmental Report (including the environmental policy statement and information on community outreach and pollution prevention) is posted.

Compaq Computers - Environmental Health and Safety
The site posts their environmental reports, environmental, health and safety reports and press releases.

Delphi Auto
The largest auto parts manufacturer has an Environment section where it states that Delphi works to minimize negative environmental impact, with products and processes that consider environmental impact from the beginning, help reduce the effects of global warming, decrease dependence on natural resources, and use recycled materials and can be more easily recycled.

Digital Equipment Environmental, Health and Safety
This site contains Environmental, Health and Safety fact sheets, environmental policy statements and progress reports.

DuPont Safety, Health and Environment
Includes Safety, Health and Environment progress reports, company commitments, goals, public policies, and information on Responsible Care, corporate leadership and product stewardship.

Ford Motor Co. - Environment
Sites posts information about company research and electric cars, and some very general green information.

IBM Environment
Includes the 1997 environmental report - environmental management systems (EMS), pollution prevention, product stewardship, corporate environmental policy, and environmental affairs.

INCO
The site includes a page on Environment, Health and Safety.

Intel Designing for Safety and the Environment
Information on Environmental Management Systems (EMS), pollution prevention, product stewardship, links to a benchmark study with SustainAbaility (see separate listing), Environmental, Health and Safety policy and goals, and stakeholder involvement.

Interface Flooring Canada
Information on the company including two special projects: Envirosense (design, construction, furnishings, operation and management of buildings, environmental engineering and indoor air quality) and Ecosense (industrial ecology, sustainability and the Interface Environmental Policy

Mitsubishi and Sustainable Development
Information on social responsibility, clean fuels, responsible investment strategies and Mitsubishi’s role in promoting sustainable development.

Monsanto and the Environment
Sites includes annual report, pledges and press releases.

Noranda
Includes corporate environmental policy, environmental management systems, commitments to sustainable development, the 1996 Environmental Report, information on the Noranda Foundation and an Environment 2000 Strategy.

Northern Telecom Habitat
Good example of corporate environmental Web site. Provides assistance to other companies and includes Nortel's eco-management system, downloadable "Envirobase" tool for tracking company performance, and PERI guidelines.
