Five things you should know about
conservation...
-
Conservation
is how we can minimize our impact on the natural environment.
Conservation means protecting nature, saving resources, and
preventing pollution .
And along the way, we can save some money, create a stronger,
more resilient economy, and healthier places to live.
-
We are all
conservers, and we are all consumers. The challenge
is to become a better conserver.
-
We're here to
help. Conservation is easier when you take advantage
of conservation services and products. Our guides will give you conservation tips
and ideas.
They will also give you links to organizations and companies across Ontario
can help you become a better conserver.
-
Conservation
requires a commitment to improve. Because everyone
is starting from a different point, we offer three levels of
solutions: easy steps, an investment in conservation,
and a lifestyle commitment. The choice is yours.
-
We're building a movement. For
information on Ontario's conservation movement, see our sister
site, www.weconserve.ca.
For resources for groups, see
"Get Organized".
In Progress
We'll soon be adding new
features to this site, including:
- a self-assessment
tool so that you can determine where you want to improve,
and which organizations can best help you.
- a guide to conservation
- a rewards program for
conservers
